Abby De Blassio practices family law, in both litigation and collaborative law cases. She has a reputation of being an efficient and prepared advocate for her clients, and is known for her diligence and attention to detail. Abby is highly successful in resolving difficult matters amicably, in a way that minimizes hostility and the emotional casualties that traditionally plague this area of practice, and in a manner that protects the best interest of children, and promotes peace between the parties. She is adept at handling complex divorce litigation, particularly high asset cases and cases involving businesses, pensions and qualified domestic relations orders. She is also a trained mediator, and periodically serves as a court-appointed divorce master in Westmoreland County.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island, New York, Abby earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultral Economics/Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University, in 1988. She then managed restaurants in Newport Beach, California, and received her Juris Doctor Degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 1993. Abby has been practicing law in Greensburg, Pennsylvania since her admission to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1993. She is the past Chair of the Westmoreland Bar Association Family Law Committee, and has served as a lecturer for Continuing Legal Education classes at the Westmoreland County Bar Association. She has been a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region, and is a mom, an avid hiker, animal lover, decorator, and cook.
