Biography
Adam J. Gross is nothing if not persistent. He works tirelessy to defend his clients by carefully reviewing the evidence, finding the issues, and developing creative strategies to defend and negotiate for his clients. Adam knows that being charged with any crime is serious, and he has learned through his experience that persistence pays off.
Adam represents clients in a wide range of criminal cases including felonies, misdemeanors, and DUIs. Adam worked at a large firm where he successfully respresented clients in cases ranging from criminal speeding charges to serious “life-ending” felonies. Before his work at the large firm, Adam was a criminal defense attorney with the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office where he represented hundreds of clients with felony charges ranging from drug possession to murder charges. Adam has argued hundreds of motions ranging from evidence suppression to release condition modifications and defended clients both serious felony and DUI jury trials, and misdemeanor bench trials.
Adam attended the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. While attending law school, Adam was awarded the Best Student Note for his article that was published in The American Bar Association’s Jurimetrics, The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Adam externed at the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Phoenix. While there, Adam researched and wrote memos and motions to challenge unlawful searches and seizures, drafted Freedom of Information Act requests and response letters, and helped research and edit a capital habeas petition. Adam also externed at the Court of Appeals with the Honorable Jon W. Thompson where he reviewed trial court records and drafted Anders appeal decisions. Finally, Adam served as a Rule 38 Limited Practice Student at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office, practicing as an attorney for several clients and acting as trial co-counsel that gave the opening statement and cross examining the State’s main witness and the victim.
When not working, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children in a wide range of activities like hiking, sightseeing, and sledding (when there’s snow) to name a few.
