Biography
Adam Roberts joined Chapman & Roberts, P.A. in October of 2018., and became a partner with Mr. Gerry Chapman in 2021. He was born and raised in Newberry, South Carolina. He graduated from Newberry College in 2014 with a BA in International Studies, and in 2017 he received his JD from Elon University School of Law. He assists clients with family based immigration cases, waivers, consular processing, removal, asylum, and humanitarian based cases. The Humanitarian Bases cases were what started his career as an Immigration Attorney. In early 2018, he worked for Elon Law's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic under a Federal grant that allowed him to represent victims of Domestic Violence seek immigration benefits. The ability to assist a client turn a traumatic life situation into the opportunity of obtaining a visa through either a U-Visa, VAWA, or a T-Visa is what made him fall in love with Immigration Law. While he regularly represents clients with all different typs of immigration matters he has gained the most experience with cases where individuals have been victims of crimes, domestic violence, or labor and/or sexual trafficking. This experience has provided him the confidence to successfully sue the governement when they erroneously deny these type of cases. He considers himself extremely lucky to have found this area of law and this law firm, where he can spend the rest of his hopefully long career assisting clients with their immigration needs.
