Adnan A. Shams is the Managing Partner of the Chicago office of Lorium P.C. Mr. Shams’ practice focuses on matters dealing with corporations, with an emphasis on corporate/business law transactions, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, and intellectual property. Mr. Shams has represented a wide variety of clients, including financial institutions, distributors, operators, franchisees, manufacturers, investors, tech startups, and developers within numerous industries. He also advises large and small companies on all their business and transactional needs as their outside in-house counsel.

Prior to Lorium, Mr. Shams co-founded SRM law and later joined forces with Marshall Grant PLLC. Mr. Shams practiced for several years in the private sector in various industries providing insight and experience to effectively counsel his clients. Mr. Shams spent years in the accounting field while at a private accounting firm and a commercial development company. Mr. Shams has also worked in the Information Technology field as a Director of Information Technology overseeing over 45 offices across the United States. Mr. Shams gained further experience in international business and financing transactions at a commodities trading company and consulting company.

Adnan Shams has been recognized by his peers and Illinois Super Lawyer as a Rising Star for 6 years. Mr. Shams was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and is married with two children. Outside of the firm, he currently serves as the Practice Group Chair for Business and Intellectual Property for a nonprofit organization focusing on community service and outreach as well as for a nonprofit disaster relief organization.
