A partner of Orshan, Spann & Fernandez-Mesa, Attorney Aileen Fernandez-Mesa has dedicated her entire legal career to family law and dependency cases. Before entering private practice, Ms. Fernandez-Mesa served as the Division Chief and Supervising Attorney for the Department of Children and Families. During her tenure there, she earned the Outstanding Achievement Award for Trial Preparation and a Formal Commendation from the Secretary of the DCF.
Ms. Fernandez-Mesa became a member of the Florida Bar in 2007 and joined the Family Law Section in 2012. She is also an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) and First Family Law Inn of Courts.
Ms. Fernandez-Mesa enjoys giving back. She serves on the board of directors for Kidside – a non-profit dedicated to supporting Family Court Services – and was the co-chair for the Florida Charitable Employee Campaign. She also gives her time as a pro bono guardian ad litem.
