Alan concentrates in the areas of bankruptcy, creditor's rights, and commercial litigation, representing debtors, creditors, and trustees. His clients are individual and corporate debtors, private and commercial lenders, leasing companies, private investors, and small to large businesses in chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. He regularly litigates in the federal and state courts of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. In addition to representing people and businesses reorganizing in Chapter 11, Alan has extensive experience representing debtors, creditors, and bankruptcy trustees in adversary proceedings invovling preferential transfers, fraudulent conveyances, and objections to the dischargeability of debts. He also helps clients buy and sell assets in bankruptcy cases.
