Alex Heidt has spent over 25 years in the federal government and commercial contracting business markets. Prior to establishing the Heidt Law Firm, Alex Heidt worked for several of the country’s largest defense contractors such as Orbital Sciences Corporation, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Harris Corporation, and Alion Science and Technology Corporation.  Alex Heidt has a broad and diverse background in law, finance, business development and P&L managment. He has an extensive contract drafting and negotiation background, and has held major negotiations both nationally and internationally. Alex Heidt played a significant role in the valuation, due diligence and negotiation of several of Lockheed Martin’s and Harris’s acquisitions.

While the Director of Contracts and Business Strategy for Lockheed Martin, Alex Heidt negotiated some of the largest and most complex negotiations with the US federal government, United Nations, and foriegn nations. He was a key memeber of the M&A team to conduct over $12B+ in due diligence and subsequent aquistions. 

Earning his MA in Finance and his Juris Doctorate, as well as pursuing and winning multi-billion dollars worth of contracts in his tenure, has given Alex Heidt unique insight into creating comprehensive business and estate planning solutions. In addition to founding the Heidt Law Firm, Alex established Insignia Consulting Group, which addresses the needs of companies who want to formulate strategic roadmaps to build a robust pipeline of opportunities on which they can bid. Alex then provides the business development expertise they need to shape these opportunities, successfully bid and win opportunities, and help them through the ensuing rapid growth.

Alex Heidt is active in the community and has participated in important social causes with important groups such as the Board of Directors for the American Heart Assocation and the Fairfax Law Foundation.
