Alex Salmu’s passion for engineering and law can be traced back to his pre-professional days. Whether as a National Honor Society student or American Society of Mechanical Engineers member, he’s been on an intellectual property law path from the start. Why? Because he likes getting people excited about innovations that he’s excited about.

Outside the office, Alex is committed to family and education. He is fluent in Arabic, speaks a little Spanish, and is learning more about Japanese culture and language. He is always looking to know a little more about the world around him and he’s always up for a challenge, whether physical or mental. He also keeps active when keeping up with his wife and their six kids, whether it’s exploring trails in Michigan or sweating it out at the gym.
