Biography
I am originally from Bowling Green and attended Bowling Green High School where I played varsity tennis and was the band’s John Phillip Sousa award winner. I then attended Marquette University in Milwaukee where he graduated in 2007 with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology. While at Marquette, I interned for County Executive, now Governor, Scott Walker. I was also three time president of the Marquette University Curling Club and a member of the band.
I then came home for law school, graduating from the University Of Toledo College Of Law in May of 2010. While in law school, I externed at Legal Aid of Western Ohio (LAWO), working exclusively with clients 60 and over in their elder law section. I also interned with the Sandusky County Juvenile and Probate Court and served as a law clerk at Stockwell & Cooperman.
After passing the bar on his first attempt in the fall of 2010, I opened my practice in Bowling Green, practicing in all areas, but focusing on appellate work, criminal defense and family law. In the fall of 2012, I joined the Hancock County Public Defender and streamlined my practice, focusing exclusively on estate planning and probate administration. In the fall of 2014, I merged my practice with Mahaffey & Associates, becoming Of Counsel. In 2016, my career came full circle, back to the very office I started in.
Outside of the practice, I am a member of the Bowling Green Curling Club and the United States Tennis Association.
