Biography
Alec represents healthcare organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physicians, healthcare technology companies, and other healthcare organizations. Alec assists his clients on a wide range of matters, including complex business transactions, taxation, corporate reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate governance, Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, physician employment and alignment strategies, and other corporate legal matters.

Prior to joining HDJN, Alec served for nearly five years as a judge advocate in the United States Army during which time he served as a prosecutor in United States v. PFC Manning. In US v. PFC Manning, Alec drafted the brief to protect the identity of a DoD operator who participated in the raid on Usama bin Laden, and was responsible for admitting evidence from the bin Laden raid, Twitter, and the Internet Archive. Alec also worked as an attorney at Thacher, Proffitt & Wood in New York, NY where he worked on transactions involving structured finance and derivatives.
