Amanda C. Knight focuses her practice on family law, handling cases involving divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, domestic violence, and equitable distribution. She is Board Certified in Family Law by the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization, an achievement held by fewer than 2% of attorneys in the state. Her work has earned recognition from organizations such as Super Lawyers and Lawyergist.
Amanda earned her law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law and is dedicated to helping clients navigate emotionally challenging legal matters. She believes in providing support and reassurance while working toward favorable resolutions. Before joining Ellis Family Law, she interned at Legal Aid of North Carolina, where she assisted clients in need.
When not practicing law, Amanda enjoys yoga, kayaking, and spending time with family. She is also a member of the Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties, an organization focused on community engagement and advocacy.
