Amelia Crotwell is a Certified Elder Law Attorney.  This means she specializes in helping folks 55 and older or persons with disabilities with their legal, financial and health care needs. Her specialization is earned through the National Elder Law Foundation and the Tennessee Commission on Legal Education and Specialization. 

Amelia started Elder Law of East Tennessee to serve families from Chattanooga  to Johnson City.  Amelia is dedicated to helping people find ways to pay for care, including Medicaid and Veteran's benefits, and to preserving family assets.  She has social workers on staff to aid families in dealing with the challenges of long term care, chronic illness, and to help seniors age in place safely and independently. 

Elder Law of East Tennessee provides client-centered legal planning, public benefits planning, and care guidance and coordination through Life Care Planning.  This is an individually tailored service delivered with compasssion and caring.  Amelia is affiliated with the Life Care Planning Law Firm's Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and served as the chairperson for the Tennessee Bar Association Elder Law Section.  She graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with highest honors.
