More than anything, I believe Reverend King's statement to be the guiding principle of my career. My time in law school at Marquette Law and as a practicing attorney has been spent trying to give a voice to the voiceless and to help those who most need our help, be it in the defense of a crime they are accused of commiting, or in the protection of their custodial rights as parents, or in the prevention of abuses of minors and the elderly. I am passionate about not just being a zealous advocate for my clients, but also a person they can trust to be honest and supportive, even when everyone else has turned their backs on him or her. In my opinion, the practice of law should never be about making the most money; it should be about making the biggest difference in the lives of our clients and our communities.
