Biography
Andrew grew up in Western Pennyslvania enthralled with the sports culture of that region. He played three sports in high school -- basketball, football, and track. After graduating from high school he went on to graduate from Washington & Jefferson College where he played track and football. After graduating from Washington & Jefferson, Andrew attended Cornell Law School.
At Cornell, Andrew served as the academic chair of the Black Law Students Association ("BLSA"). As the academic chair, Andrew guided first year law students on preparing for and taking law school exams. Andrew also was a member of the mock trial team. Laslty, Andrew taught business to prisoner in a maximum security prison as part of the Cornell Prison Education Program.
SInce law school, Andrew has continued to serve others through pro bono. He has taken numerous landlord-tenant cases, saving his clients from eviction in the process. In fact, he won an affirmance on appeal to the Superior Court of Pennslvania in one of his landlord-tenant cases.
Andrew is also a trial lawyer. While working in biglaw he has taken two federal cases under the civil rights act to trial.
