Legal Accomplishments:
Leadcounsel in Carroll v. Interstate Brands Corporation, an employmentdiscrimination case brought by 20 African Americans against theiremployer Interstate Brands Corporation. The trial resulted in a juryverdict of $11 million in compensatory damages and $121 million inpunitive damages. Carroll et al. v. Interstate Brands Corporation etal. was name the No. 1 Verdict of 2000 by Verdicts and Settlementsmagazine.
Lead counsel in F. Alioto FishCompany v. The City and County of San Francisco, a breach of contractcase. The trial resulted in a jury verdict of $3 million.
Leadcounsel in Claudine Woolf v. Mary Kay Cosmetics, a disabilitydiscrimination case. Trial resulted in a jury verdict of $11.2 million.
Leadcounsel in Valladares v. Madera Quality Nut, resulting in a juryverdict of over $25 million. Valladares v. Madera Quality Nut was namedone of the Top 100 Verdicts of 2006 by Verdict Search.

In addition to Angela Alioto's legalaccomplishments, she has also been a community leader in her native SanFrancisco. Angela was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisorsafter placing second in a field of 24 candidates with over 95,000votes. She was reelected in November 1992, placing first with nearly150,000 votes and became Board President.
Angelaserved as Board President from January 1993 to January 1995. AsPresident, Angela served as Vice-Chair of the Board's FinanceCommittee. After Angela's term as Board President expired, she servedas the Chair of two Board Committees: the Health, Public Safety andEnvironment Committee and the Select Committee on Municipal PublicPower, the committee she created as President. On January 8, 1997,Angela left the Board of Supervisors due to term limits.
In2004 Angela was appointed as the Chairwoman to San Francisco's Ten YearPlan Implementation Council. The Council is dedicated to abolishingchronic Homelessness in San Francisco and has been recognized as anational model.
