Anjali Sharma was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Ms. Sharma attended the University of Houston and graduated with degrees in Environment Science – Atmospheric Sciences and Political Science.

Ms. Sharma then went on to attend law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While there, she participated in mock trial competitions, became Review Editor of Law Journal on Gender, Race & Justice and was President of the Community Outreach Program.

During Ms. Sharma’s first year of law school, she clerked with the Honorable Judge Maria Jackson in the 339th Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas. In her second and third year of law school, Ms. Sharma began interning at The Markland Law Firm and has been heavily involved with the clients and cases since.
