Biography
The Wise Family Law Firm specializes in family law cases in Santa Clara County. I have 27 years of legal experience, 20 of which has been concentrated solely in family law. I handle all aspects of family law, including divorce, legal separation, custody and visitation, spousal support, child support and complex property division cases.
I work with my clients to develop a strategy for each case and keep my clients fully informed of the process, options and possible outcomes. My experience with the family law process allows me to handle cases efficiently and decisively, keeping costs to a minimum. The firm uses the latest technology and can handle even the most document-intensive cases effectively, reducing the cost of the case.
The firm represents clients in both contested divorce and mediated divorce. A divorce is contested when the issues are tried in court. The spouses in a mediated divorce jointly hire me as the sole lawyer to assist them in understanding the law, filing all necessary papers, negotiating and drafting an agreement without bringing issues to the court. This is generally the most cost-effective way to obtain a divorce. I approach cases with the goal of keeping clients out of court. However, if a dispute cannot be resolved, I provide strong and effective representation in court.
I am a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, where I am a member of the family law section, and the State Bar of California. I am a Certified Family Law Specialist and I am admitted to practice in all California Courts, including the Federal District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals.
