During my college and law school years, I always knew that I wanted to come back and serve the area that has been so good to my family and me--Lancaster County. After graduating from law school, I was hired as an Assistant District Attorney for the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office, and soon thereafter I was appointed Director of the Child Abuse Prosecution Unit. My time in the DA's office was dedicated to prosecuting those who physically or sexually abused the children of Lancaster County. Although incredibly emotionally taxing, I knew that these child victims needed a voice in our courts and that I had to do everything within my power to break the cycle of abuse.

Since child predators do not make a habit out of accepting responsibility for their actions, many times, our prosecutions would culminate in trials. By handling a multitude of trials, hearings and other prosecutorial proceedings, I became extremely comfortable in and developed a command of the courtroom and gained a valuable understanding of what judges and juries look for when evaluating a case.

When I transitioned into civil law, I knew that I had to fulfill a similar role; that is, advocating for the rights of accident victims who need a voice in our legal system. I wanted to be the one who spoke on behalf of these people to insurance companies, judges and juries and fought for them to be compensated for their pain and suffering--pain and suffering that is not their fault and that they were forced to endure because of the negligence of another.

I formed Georgelis Injury Law Firm, P.C. in 2005 with the purpose and vision to be a powerful legal force for the people of Lancaster County in motor vehicle accidents, on the job, on someone else's property or any other means involving the fault of another. We just celebrated 16 years of doing just that. My promise to each and every one of our clients is that you will treated like a member of our family.
