Biography
Ashley Morris was admitted to the Texas bar in 2006. She obtained her law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, graduated Order of the Coif. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York City. She clerked for the U.S. Federal District Court, Southern District of Texas from 2006 to 2007. She also worked in education and development in Guatemala, Peru, and Ecuador. She takes pro bono cases for American Gateways, the Bernardo Kohler Center, the CARA pro bono project, and RAICES, and volunteered at clinics organized by Texas Here to Stay, University of Texas Law School, Equal Justice Center, and the University Leadership Initiative. She was honored to fight for families detained in Artesia, New Mexico, and Dilley and Karnes, Texas.
