I am a former Assistant District Attorney with extensive trial and appellate experience.    I was president of the Orange County Bar Association in 2010-2011 and I am a former president of the Women's Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties.  I am an active member of the Orange County Collaborative Divorce practice group and I am a court appointed attorney for children.   I lecture for the Parents Apart program, an educational program for parents going through divorce or separation. 

      I have been attorney advisor for the Cardozo Law School trial advocacy program and I have taught continuing legal education courses in area of business valuation, pension distribution, new issues in Family Law and basic matrimonial practice.  I have been formally trained in both mediation and collaborative divorce. 

   I am knowledgable about the law, hardworking and I genuinely care about each of my clients. 

    In my matrimonial/family law practice I handle matters in Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess and Ulster Counties.  

    I handle appellate matters throughout New York.  I have perfected over 200 appeals in the Appellate Division  and I have briefed and argued several matters in the Court of Appeals.  I have been influential in crystalizing the appellate law on issues ranging from distribution of FDNY and NYPD pensions, survivor pension benefits for non-titled spouses, distribution of 9/11 compensation funds, college contributions after divorce, distribution of marital debt, joint custody, and grandparent rights.    I have also been sucessful in arguing civil appeals on issues ranging from oil spills to water use easements.  I have  argued a full range of criminal issues from prosecutorial misconduct, to sex abuse corroboration, to DWI blood test orders and admissability of statements and evidence.
