Attorney Barton L. Mayer represents municipalities across New Hampshire as part of the Upton & Hatfield, LLP legal team. He assists his clients with matters such as land use development, real estate taxation, government administration, highways, civil litigation, trusts, eminent domain, and finance. He has experience with the New Hampshire Supreme Court, having appeared before the Court over 35 times.
In the past, Attorney Mayer served as legal counsel to the New Hampshire Municipal Association. He is a former member of the Legislative Committee for the Recodification of Zoning and Planning Statutes. He frequently speaks for the New Hampshire Bar Association, Governor’s Office on Energy and Planning, and the Local Government Center, and is the author of the New Hampshire Roads and Highways Manual.
