Benjamin received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Liberty University, graduating summa cum laude.

He received his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of law, where he graduated summa cum laude, at the top of his class.

Benjamin previously served as a police officer with the City of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and as a Deputy with the Dare County Sheriff’s Office. There he served in a variety of roles, including Uniformed Patrol, School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, General Law Enforcement Instructor, and Specialized Subject Control and Arrest Techniques Instructor.
