Biography
I am privileged to serve the United States at the Department of Justice as a trial attorney. My home office is the Civil Division, Office of Immigration Litigation, Appellate Section ("OIL"). I also completed a year-long detail at the Commercial Litigation Branch's National Courts Section, where I handled a variety of trial and appellate matters relating to commercial disputes, often with tens of millions of dollars in controversy.
Other hats I wear at the DOJ include serving as a recruiter and a "DOJ Ambassador" to law schools (please reach out if you have questions on positions for students or experienced attorneys), and serving as an instructor at seminars and courses presented by and in conjunction with OIL and the DOJ's Office of Legal Education.
I am licensed to practice in Illinois and many federal courts.
While I am happy to talk to anyone, I especially invite law students interested in internship / externship opportunities and new attorney hiring, as well as experienced attorneys looking to join DOJ, to contact me. To avoid spam my email address is not listed here, but you can find it by searching for me on the "DOJ Ambassadors" webpage.
