Biography
I serve as the President and Managing Partner of De Leon & Washburn P.C., a leading full-service civil law firm based in Austin, TX.
I have experience arguing before the Third Court of Appeals and submitted briefs to the Texas Supreme Court, the First Court of Appeals, the Third Court of Appeals, the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Austin and San Antonio Divisions, and various arbitration panels. I have also more recently engaged in a substantial amount of federal and state litigation under the Texas Insurer Receivership Act. I always maintain one or two Spanish-speaking client cases on my docket through Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas.
I consistently strive to find the most effective, cost-efficient solutions for my clients in whatever case I may undertake, and to do so with integrity and honesty every step of the way. I firmly believe in service to others before service to oneself.
Arbitration, general civil practice, insurance regulatory issues, insurance receivership law, administrative law (appear before various governmental and state agencies and the State Office of Administrative Hearings), non-compete, non-piracy and non-disclosure issues in employment law, transactional law, appellate law, general civil litigation
