Biography
A graduate of Mercer Law School, Bethany has extensive experience in a range of legal areas. Initially working as a Real Estate Associate at Cummings and Klimasewski, a North Georgia law firm, Bethany returned to Middle Georgia in 2011 to become an Assistant Public Defender. Over the next seven years, Bethany handled cases in Juvenile and Superior Court, becoming an expert in her field. Her knowledge and devotion aided in her carrying a case through the Georgia appellate process, culminating in oral argument at the Georgia Supreme Court. Bethany’s expertise has been recognized by invitation to speak at two training conferences: the NJDC 2016 Juvenile Defender Leadership Summit; and the 2017 Georgia Public Defender Conference. Choosing to re-enter private practice, Bethany established her own firm, specializing in Real Estate, Juvenile Law, and Estate Planning.
Bethany acquired her B.S. in Psychology, magna cum laude, from Georgia Southwestern State University. She received her Juris Doctor from Mercer University in 2010, earning the James C. Rehberg Real Estate Award. Originally growing up in Gwinnett County, Bethany moved to Middle Georgia shortly after graduating high school. She is married, and has three children and a menagerie of pets. She also volunteers as the literary magazine sponsor and instructor at a local private school.
