Biography
Bonnie Bridgers Smith is a partner with the firm of BRIDGERS SMITH PLLC in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She is an experienced trial attorney who has practiced in the areas of insurance, products liability, consumer fraud, commercial litigation, personal injury, collections, domestic and criminal law.
For more than a decade, Bonnie’s practice focused on the defense of products liability cases in jurisdictions across the Southeast. She has served as national counsel for three closely held companies, coordinating the defense of toxic tort claims in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and Florida.
Since 2011, Bonnie’s practice has focused on families in crisis. Bonnie has tried many cases involving issues concerning custody, visitation and support of minors. Bonnie is frequently appointed by Chancery Courts in the State of Mississippi to serve as a Guardian ad Litem to investigate, find facts and make independent reports to the Court concerning issues related to custody of and visitation with minor children.
Bonnie has achieved an AV-Preeminent attorney rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Bonnie is licensed to practice law before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and all Federal and State Courts in Mississippi. Bonnie is also certified as a Guardian ad Litem in the State of Mississippi.

In 2011, Bonnie was selected by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Top 50 Leaders in Law. In 2012, Bonnie was selected by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Top 50 Businesswomen.
Aside from her professional responsibilities, Bonnie has worked with Junior Achievement of Mississippi, the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyer's Project, The Mississippi Center for Justice, and the Methodist Children’s Homes. She has served on the Board of Directors for the McCoy House for Sober Living, Stewpot Community Services and Galloway United Methodist Church Early Childhood Development Center. She is a member of the Jackson Professional Women’s Association and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jackson. She has served as Co-chairman of the Donor Relations Committee for the Mississippi Children's Museum and on the Auxiliary Board for the Mississippi Museum of Art.
Bonnie is a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1991 and the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1994.
