Brent is a sixth-generation Hunt County, Texas resident and grandson of former Hunt County Commissioner, Justice of the Peace, fair board member, and local legend Merrick “Mickey” Money. He graduated from Greenville Christian School in 1996, and then attended Oklahoma Baptist University. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Heidi, he returned home to complete his college degree at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Before attending law school at Southern Methodist University, Brent was a science teacher at Greenville High School. He has four children, Andrew, Adelle, Caroline, and Ian.
