Brian Cook has over 30 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on protecting Ohio’s most vulnerable citizens including consumers, children, and victims of crime.  His career has included ten years as an assistant Ohio Attorney General (serving as Chief of the Public Protection Division and Chief of the Charitable Law Section), nine years as a prosecuting attorney and municipal attorney, experience in private practice, and five years as legal counsel to the Ohio Auditor of State and Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 

After assisting his family during his father’s ten-year battle with Alzheimer’s, Brian has shifted his career to focus on matters relating to the aging process, including estate planning, essential documents (Last Will, Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will and General Durable Power of Attorney), probate and trusts.    

Brian was twice elected to the Grandview Heights Board of Education and has served as a magistrate for the City of Upper Arlington’s Juvenile Diversion Program since 1995.  After co-founding the Tri-Village Mentor League, he now serves as the charity’s legal advisor. 

Brian and his wife, Susan, a teacher with Hilliard City Schools, have a daughter, Ella, at home and two adult sons, Justin and Alec.  In his spare time, Brian enjoys biking, tennis, kayaking, music and reading.
