- US Navy Veteran, served in the Persian Gulf War and Operation Provide Promise in the Former Yugoslavia
- UW Madison class of 1997, Majors in History and Political Science
- Mercer Law, Macon, GA 2000
- Worked for three years in Washington, D.C. before returning home to Rhinelander to set up my own practice
- Former member of the Samoset Council Board, former Crystal Lake District Chairman.
- Active Hiker, Camper and traveler. Will be gone several weeks each summer as we tour America and Canada
- Sometime competitive shooter, very supportive of Second Amendment Rights for all Americans
