Biography
After almost 5 years in the DA's office, I went into private practice and began representing peace officers. I've handled cases and trials in state and federal courts on almost every imaginable theory involving law enforcement, including shootings, false arrests and excessive force. I've taught about the law pertaining to the use of force in the Officer Involved Shooting course for P.O.S.T. since 1995.
I also represent public entitles and schools in a broad range of civil matters, including dangerous conditions fo public property, auto accidents and a wide variety of torts. I have taught the CEB course on Depositions since 1983, and have the benefit of a wonderful group of lawyers and support staff.
I have been married to Sue for 35 years and am the very proud father of Elisabeth and Patrick. We all hiked the Inca Trail into Machu Picchu in June, 2011.
