Before I opened the Firm, I was an associate attorney at a mid-size law firm, did contract work for a number of Maine and New Hampshire law firms and was the law clerk at Unum. I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law and was awarded the Pro Bono Publico Award. While at Maine Law, I was a student attorney at Legal Services for the Elderly and United States Attorney's Office, a member of the Conrad B. Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition and a research assistant on articles published in the American Bankruptcy Review and Loyola Law Journal. Today, I am a regular faculty member on continuing legal education courses on the topics of elder law, estate planning and trusts.  Since 2016 I have been on the Board of Directors for the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.   In 2010, I was appointed to the Maine Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
