Carly is a lifelong North Carolinian. After being born and raised in Jacksonville, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for seven years where she received both her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and her Juris Doctor.  In her free time, she enjoys taking Orangetheory classes, spending time with her family on Topsail Island, and exploring new restaurants around the Triangle area with friends.

Carly has practiced exclusively family law since graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2017. She has been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Family Law in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Carly received both her J.D. and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before attending law school, she received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism and mass communication and minored in history. While attending UNC Law, Carly wrote for the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology and externed at Legal Aid of North Carolina where she represented victims of domestic violence in obtaining protective orders. She was a member and mentor in both the Women in Law organization and the Asian American Law Students Association.

As the current President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Wake County Bar Association, Carly is actively engaged in giving back to the community and serving with other attorneys in this area.  She is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
