Charles Bauer, a native of Moscow, Idaho, graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1979, and has received the “AV” rating, issued by the Martingale-Hubbell/LexisNexis Legal Directory, the highest rating an attorney can receive. He was the 2018 reciptient of the Idaho State Bar Association's "Award of Distinction" from the Family Law Section, and is a former chair of the Family Law Section.  He's written and lectured regularly on family law topics and issues for the Idaho State Bar's Continuing Legal Education programs around the state for over 30 years.  He taught Family Law and Community Property as an adjunct professor for the University of Idaho School of Law, Boise Campus, between 2012-2017.  He was a founding partner of the Boise Law Firm Bauer and French in 1992.  He joined Gravis Law PLLC as Managing Attorney of their Boise Office in September, 2018.
