Biography
I was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1999 after completing my studies at The University of Alabama School of Law. I'm a shareholder in my firm’s litigation section, where I focus on local government, insurance defense and insurance coverage. I also handle cases involving matters of administrative law.
I attended college at Washington and Lee University, where I served as an editor of the school newspaper, fraternity president and president of the campus literary society.
In law school, I was President of the Federalist Society and a member of the Farrah Law Society.
After law school, I worked as a staff attorney for Judge William C. Thompson on the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals.
I have tried numerous cases to verdict throughout Alabama in both state and federal court. In addition, I have dozens of published opinions arising out of the Alabama Supreme Court, each of Alabama’s federal districts, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
I'm a member of the First United Methodist Church, where I serve in various lay capacities.
