Attorney Maltby is here to help with all your legal needs.Christine Maltby graduated from law school in 2009 with a Juris Doctor and passed the bar exam later that year. She was hired by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies from arraignment to trial.
She handled cases in the Wrentham District Court for the towns of Wrentham, Foxboro, Walpole, Plainville, Franklin, Medway, Millis, Bellingham and Norfolk; Stoughton District Court for the towns of Stoughton, Canton, Sharon and Avon; Dedham District Court for the towns of Dedham, Norwood, Needham, Dover, Wellesley, Medfield and Westwood; and the Massachusetts State Police.
Christine was then hired by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office where she handled cases in the Woburn District Court for the towns of Woburn, Burlington, Wilmington, Winchester, Reading, North Reading and Stoneham; Lowell District Court for the cities and towns of Lowell, Chelmsford, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Dracut and Billerica; Waltham District Court for the cities and towns of Waltham, Watertown and Weston; and Middlesex Superior Court for the cities of Cambridge, Somerville, and Medford.
During her tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, Christine handled hundreds of evidentiary hearings, including trials and grand jury proceedings, ranging from OUI 1st offense to OUI 11th offense, from possession of drugs to drug trafficking, and a range of violent crimes and firearms charges. She was designated as a domestic violence prosecutor and trained police departments on responding to high risk domestic violence calls. Additionally, Christine attended the United States Department of Justice Elder Abuse Instructor Training Program certifying her to train police departments on investigating physical abuse of elders, emotional and mental abuse, sexual abuse and financial exploitation. She has also argued before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, prevailing in a case involving a violation of a restraining order.
