Biography

Chris has spent his entire career defending individuals accused of crimes by the government.

The son of two public school teachers, Chris grew up in Carrollton, Georgia. He first came to the lowcountry in 1993 to be a public defender. After spending 10 years in Atlanta, where he ran a statewide public defense office, Chris and his family returned to the Charleston area in 2010.

They live in Mt. Pleasant, attend the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, and kayak in the marshes and rivers around their house.

Currently the president of the national association of criminal defense lawyers. a criminal defense lawyer with 25 years experience in state and federal courts.
