Courtney's interests are in defending and representing the underrepresented. Courtney excels at Expungements for her Clients, clearing their arrest and conviction record and restoring her client to the lawful status and position that he/she occupied before their involvement in the criminal justice system.
Courtney is driven by her passion for justice for ALL. Courtney especially is passionate about juveniles in the system, as the long term effects are infinite. Courtney enjoys defending people who are charged with criminal offenses; she understands that good people do bad things, and she understands the future consequences that a criminal conviction may have upon one's future.
Courtney is a lifelong resident of Madison County, Mississippi. She attended the Madison County Public School System and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Mississippi State in 2016. Courtney enrolled in Mississippi College School of Law in the fall of 2016; she took a leave of absence after her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After a successful treatment for her cancer, Courtney graduated from Mississippi College School of Law on the Dean’s List. Courtney is the mother to her little boy, Roman, and her cat, Fran.
Within two months of obtaining her license to practice law, Courtney was immersed in complex civil and criminal cases. She wrote a Sentencing Memorandum for a female facing years in Federal Prison. The Sentencing Memorandum helped the client leave Court with one year of house arrest. In a complex civil rights case, she has helped secure multiple wrongful death settlements for families of loved ones. Courtney, along with a team of exceptional attorneys, secured Anthony Fox's release from jail after he was wrongfully convicted for manslaughter and sentenced to prison.
