Biography
Crissa is an attorney, conciliator, and mediator at Michael I. Flores, PC. She works with clients in all aspects of domestic relations litigation, including divorce, custody, support, alimony, asset division, removals, contempts, and modifications. In addition, Crissa is a trained conciliator and mediator and ahe offers dispute resolution services for parties in domestic relations matters. Prior to joining the firm, Crissa worked as a judicial law clerk for the justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court in the Barnstable, Bristol, Middlesex, and Plymouth divisions. As a law clerk, she assisted the judges with high-quality legal research and writing for complex domestic relations, probate, and equity matters.
A 2014 graduate of New England Law | Boston, Crissa was a recipient of the Sandra Day O’Connor merit scholarship. She was a judicial intern at the Middlesex Probate and Family Court and at the Administrative Office of the Probate and Family Court, and she worked at a small civil litigation firm in Boston. Prior to law school, Crissa served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a non-profit in Boston. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in History, from Providence College, where she was a member of the Liberal Arts Honors Program.
Crissa is the Chair of the Family Law Section Council for the Massachsuetts Bar Association; the President of the Barnstable County Bar Association for the 2024-2025 association year; and she is the former Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the BCBA. Crissa has co-chaired the MBA's annual Family Law Conference since 2021, and she has chaired, moderated, and participated in panels for the MBA and BCBA. She was named a 2021 Cape & Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 Awards recipient; has been recognized as a Massachusetts Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2019; and was names One to Watch by Best Lawyers (2024). Crissa volunteers her time through the Attorneys Representing Children ("ARC") program and the Lawyer of the Day program at the Barnstable Probate and Family Court.
