Biography
Dallas M. Hartman, the son of Dallas W. Hartman, grew up working in his father’s firm. Upon graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a degree in neuroscience, Dallas attended Penn State Law. Dallas graduated Penn State Law at the top of his class and sat on the editorial board of the Penn State Law Review.
Two weeks after obtaining his license to practice law in Pennsylvania, Dallas obtained a $1,000,000 judgment for one of his clients who was a victim of nursing home neglect. Since then, Dallas has earned numerous additional notable settlements and judgments for his clients. This includes reaching a $10,575,000 settlement for a client that lost both of his legs in an industrial truck accident, and achieving a $5,000,000 judgment for a client who lost her husband in a drunk driving collision.
In November of 2018, Dallas was featured by various Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania news outlets as the lead lawyer in a class action medical malpractice lawsuit against UPMC Jameson in New Castle, Pennsylvania. In February of 2020, Dallas was featured by various Western Pennsylvania news outlets as the lead attorney in a hit and run truck accident that led to the death of a teenage girl.
Dallas is one of the youngest members of the Million Dollar Advocates and Mutli-Million Dollar Advocates forums and Top Trial Lawyers in America. In 2021, he was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers. Dallas is also a President’s Club member of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
Dallas grew up in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania and was an all-state football and basketball player in high school at Wilmington Area School District. He went on to play football in the Ivy League at Columbia University and continued playing football at Carnegie Mellon University. He currently lives in Mercer County where he is a member of the Sharpsville Service Club and frequently volunteers at several local school districts.
Dallas concentrates his law practice on representing victims of car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, and defective products. He also represents injured workers in workers’ compensation matters.
