Biography
Our founder, Daniel E. Goodrich, Esq. has been practicing corporate, transactional, and business law since 2012, and is licensed in California, Hawai'i, District of Columbia, and New York (pending).
He has transitioned from in-house for a multi-national telecommunications organization, to founding team member and General Counsel of a healthcare career development tech start-up, to now pouring fuel into @VirtualCounsel.
Daniel is a "recovering corporate attorney" who is an entrepreneur, conservationist, and humanist at heart (hence the constant progression away from the trappings of corporate life)!
@VirtualCounsel spawned from a desire to provide comprehensive corporate counsel to an underserved market: the purpose-driven entrepreneur. Many smart businesses do not have the resources to hire "big law," and therefore try to do it on their own. That seems crazy to the @VirtualCounsel team, who are entrepreneurs at heart and understand the struggle!
@VirtualCounsel leverages Slack, Basecamp, Drive, and other tech to provide an amazing user experience for small-to medium sized business clients across various industries and operates as a monthly membership SaaS model, hacking at the traditional billing practices of big law. Starting at $395/mo, clients get unlimited access to their @VirtualCounsel client confidential portal via Slack to bring on an experienced General Counsel to their team without the cost of hiring a full-time executive employee. Any legal services outside of "communication" is billed at a discounted hourly rate for @VC members.
