Daniel Joseph Moriarty
Personal Injury Attorney | Serving Atlanta, GA
Personal Injury
Biography
Daniel defended doctors, nurses and hospitals in medical-malpractice and premises-liability cases for the first six years of his practice before deciding to represent individuals hurt or killed by the negligence of others. Since switching sides, he has secured more than $2 million for his clients – including $1.25 million for the family of a father and husband killed by the negligence of a hospital employee.
Daniel has tried five cases to jury verdict – winning four of them – and has led appeals before the Georgia Court of Appeals and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. One of his proudest moments is persuading the Eleventh Circuit to revive a pro bono plaintiff’s police-brutality claims that had been dismissed by a federal judge.
Before becoming an attorney, Daniel taught high school English as a Second Language. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame, with honors, and from one of the top law schools in the country, the University of Texas. Daniel lives in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta with his wife Casey, his daughter June, and his son Branch. They attend the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in downtown Atlanta.
