Dan is a lifelong resident of this area, having been raised in rural Massac County, Illinois on his family’s farm.

After graduating from Massac County High School in 1986, Dan attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he graduated in three years, earning his BS degree in Finance, Magna Cum Laude. He then attended the University of Illinois College of Law at Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 1992 at the age of 23.

After law school, Dan worked 11 years for a law firm that concentrated its practice in the area of insurance defense. Dan began working for Saladino & Schaaf, PLLC in 2004, and his background in insurance defense provides him a unique perspective on how to successfully pursue claims on his clients’ behalf.

Dan is admitted to practice in the state courts of Kentucky and Illinois. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky; the 6th Circuit US Court of Appeals; and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Dan concentrates his practice in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation, product liability, and premises liability.

Dan is married to his wife, Whitni, of 12 years and has two boys, Henry and Harrison.
