Biography
Darwinson Valdez joined Wilkinson, Goeller, Modesitt, Wilkinson & Drummy in August 2017 after graduating from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of law. Darwinson is a native Spanish speaker and has a particular interest in immigration and tax law.
A New York native Darwinson earned his B.A. degree from the State of New York University at Buffalo, majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. While at U.B. Darwinson served as the Secretary and as a member of the Board of Trustees for Sub-Board I, Inc., which is the largest student owned and run company in America.
In law school, Darwinson was the Executive Symposium Editor of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review. He served as the President of the Hispanic Law Society and was a member of the Black Law Student Association. While in law school Darwinson interned in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York for the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie. After his first year of law school, Darwinson worked as a law clerk for the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission for two years. In his 3rd year of law school, he participated in the I.U. McKinney School of Law Immigration Clinic handling matter that were related to removal procedural, family petition, work authorization, and asylum petitions.
