Biography
David Telson specializes in Family Law and municipal Court work. David Telson is a recipient of the Lawyergist Clients Choice Award as well as the Super Lawyer Rising Star Award. David Telson has recently been appointed as one of the public defenders in Edison Township, the town he grew up in, thereby exposing him to a great deal of municipal practice. David graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in history and economics with honors. He wrote his undergraduate honors thesis on the Nixon Doctrine and the militarization of the Persian Gulf. After completing his undergraduate degree, David graduated from Rutgers School of Law. While at Rutgers School of Law, David worked with Professor Roger Clark as a research assistant and was a member of the Nobel Peace Prize nominated Marshall Islands legal team, working on a case at the International Court of Justice at the Hague regarding the reduction of nuclear weapons. Following graduation, David worked with the Hon. Peter J. Barnes, J.S.C. as a law clerk at the Middlesex County Superior Court in the Civil Division and Family Court working on primarily the FM docket in addition to the FD and FV dockets. David is a member of the New Jersey Bar, Hudson County and Middlesex County Bar Associations, the Middlesex County Inn of Court, The Hudson County Inn of Court and is a certified mediator. During his free time, David volunteers his time to coache the Bayonne High School Mock Trial Team.
