In private practice since 2000 with an almost exclusive focus on civil litigation. Varied general litigation practice includes representation of the Domestic Violence Program of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, family law issues, juvenile issues. Additionally represents various clients in complex litigation matters.

Represents the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in Indian Child Welfare Act ("ICWA") matters, as well as representation of domestic violence victims. Currently back up counsel for the Haywood County Department of Social Services. Conflict Attorney for the Guardian ad Litem program of the 30th Judicial District.  Previously represented Graham County Department of Social Services.
