I provide big town expertise in estate planning and business law with small town customer service.  I graduated with high honors from Hastings High School and Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Hope College, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Mathematics. After graduating from college, I received my Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School with an emphasis in Tax and Estate Planning. Each client is different, with different needs, and different situations, so each representation is different. I will meet with you, ask you questions, get to know you and your situation, LISTEN to what you are telling me, provide you options and opportunities to meet your needs, and then let you know what I recommend. At all times you are in charge of the direction of my representation. If you choose to have me represent you, my representation will begin when you and I have signed an engagement letter. My representation of you will be based on your decisions, answers to my questions, and your needs. I pride myself on being able to create solutions for complicated issues and matters. I am very approachable and welcome your questions. My clients are happy with my work and with the services provided to and for them. It is clear to me that many of my clients are happy with the outcome of my representation, because I have solved an issue or dealt with a concern of theirs. This is evidenced by the large number of my clients who start out our first meeting with “I was referred to by……..” or end the representation with a smile on their face and thanking me multiple times for helping them.
