Biography
After graduating from Columbia with a major in Philosophy, I joined the Peace Corps and taught English for two years in Le Republique du Niger, the world's poorest country. I then completed a Masters of International Affairs at Columbia, a Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, a J.D. at Cornell Law School and an LL.M. at New York Univeristy Law School. I clerked for two years for Chief Judge Jane Restani on the United States Court of International Trade and then clerked for one year for the Honorable Reynaldo Garza, United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Chief Judge of the Temporary Emergency Court of Appeals (which has since merged with the Federal Circuit).
After a two year stint in private practice, I became an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department, where I was promoted to Associate Counsel.
After seven years at the New York City Law Department, I accepted a position at the United States Department of Justice and moved to Washington, D.C.
Though I have moved to D.C., I still enjoy raising money for the New York Philharmonic, the Museum of the City of New York, New York's Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Save Venice, Inc.
When not working, I enjoy ballroom dancing, spending time at the University Club of New York, the Univeristy Club of Washington, D.C., and the City Tavern Club of D.C.
My favorite places are Venice, Monaco and New York City.
