Biography
David is an experienced litigator focusing his practice on complex civil litigation, construction claims, and insurance defense. He also has significant experience representing lenders in mortgage servicing related claims and foreclosure.
David began his legal career working as an assistant public defender in Stuart, Florida. David gained substantial trial experience representing indigent clients in criminal cases, including cases involving crimes punishable by life in prison. In 2012, he joined Fox Wackeen, a highly respected firm in Stuart, Florida, where he represented businesses and individuals in a wide variety of disputes, with a focus on commercial foreclosure prosecution, loan workout, and special asset litigation for a large financial institution.
Prior to joining Richardson, Whitman, Large & Badger, David worked at Winston & Strawn out of Charlotte, North Carolina, where he represented financial institutions in state and federal courts throughout the country.
David was born in Naperville, Illinois, and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He received a bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and his law degree from Wake Forest University, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In law school he worked as a research assistant for Professor Timothy Davis in the areas of sports law and contracts, as well as interned at Forsyth County Public Defender’s Office.
