I am a life-long resident of Virginia Beach. I graduated from Kellam High School, then the University of Virginia, and finally William & Mary's Law School.  After passing the bar, I worked in private practice, then for the Public Defender in Virginia Beach.  Eventually I served as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney (prosecutor) and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach - a title I held for more than 20 years.  During my years as a prosecutor, I had the benefit of attending numerous specialized Law Enforcement/Prosecution Trainings in the investigation and handling of Narcotics cases, DUI cases, Homicides, & etc. 

Now, I dedicate myself to putting my knowledge, training, and experience to good use helping persons who find themselves in a tough place - facing criminal/traffic charges that can greatly influence their future. I am a practicing criminal defense attorney primarily in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk. I focus my legal practice on traffic cases, drunk driving (DUI), drugs and weapons charges, and other felonies.
