Dean Koulouras has been a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan for more than 40 years. He began his education at Albion College, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta National Fraternity, and served as Vice President. He graduated from Albion with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1969. He then went on to law school where he graduated from the Detroit College of Law in 1973 with a Juris Doctor Degree.

Dean began his legal career by working for the City of Detroit Corporation Counsel for approximately one year. After that, he worked for the Wayne County Corporation Counsel for more than 13 years. In 1987, Dean entered private practice in Livonia, where he continues to practice today.

In addition to serving as legal counsel to his individual clients, Dean also represents several municipalities and numerous business entities in corporate and other matters. Dean has been associate counsel to the City of Lincoln Park for more than 20 years, and he serves as a neutral case evaluator for Wayne County. He is also an experienced litigator, having represented clients in civil litigation matters throughout the country.

Dean Koulouras is a respected member of the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S. District Court – Eastern District of Michigan, the Livonia Bar Association, the Michigan Association for Justice. Dean is also a respected member of Western Golf and Country Club as well as a past President.

Martindale-Hubbell recognizes Dean Koulouras as an AV rated attorney, the highest such rating available to an individual lawyer. An AV rating is a significant accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.

Dean Koulouras has also been selected to Michigan Super Lawyers every year since 2008, a designation that is only given to 5% of Michigan lawyers annually.
